STOCKHOLM, October 2, 2014 – Addnode Group has, through a new share issue, become the owner of 37% of the company behind Kompanion, a web-based planning tool that helps home care services to plan and organize their work. Kompanion is Projektstyrning Prima AB:s online planning tool for home care services which are used by a large number of municipalities and private companies to optimize operations, improve service levels and quality, and reduce travel and carbon footprint. Addnode Group is a leading provider of IT systems and services to the public sector. Customers include several government agencies and 270 of Sweden's 290 municipalities. The investment in Kompanion gives Addnode Group a new offering for home care services and access to a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform for route-optimization solutions.
"Kompanion is a strategic investment for Addnode Group. We gain access to a strong offering for home care services that we have not had before. We get a strong foothold in the "soft" sector. Our experience in the public sector, geographic information systems, route-optimization and case management system will enable us to help Kompanion to grow and develop faster", says Staffan Hanstorp, President and CEO of Addnode Group.
"Strategically, this is just the right decision for the company, our employees, and most of all for our customers. Addnode Group provides knowledge and experience that will help my staff and me to continue to develop the company to the next level. Together, we can develop Kompanion further", says Tomas Lilja, CEO Projektstyrning Prima AB.
The investment in Projektstyrning Prima makes Addnode Group the owner of 37 percent of the company, in the first stage. An option agreement has been signed with the other shareholders giving Addnode Group the right to acquire their shares in 2017. The ownership will be reported as part of business area Process Management and is not expected to have essential impact on earnings in 2014.
