Tribia, part of the Design Management division, has contributed to the construction of a world-leading sustainable building by Consto and Siva. Consto, one of Norway’s largest construction companies, has together with Siva built an innovation center in Tromsø that has been awarded BREEAM-NOR Outstanding, the highest BREEAM certification, reserved for buildings that achieve exceptional sustainability goals. With a record score of over 99 percent, this is not only the first building in Norway to achieve this level, but also the northernmost in the world with Outstanding status.
Achieving this certification required careful planning, systematic documentation, and effective collaboration. Tribia’s digital solution, Interaxo BREEAM, was chosen to gather all project information, adapt workflows, and ensure traceability throughout the entire process, from design to completion. The platform enabled documentation to be structured according to BREEAM’s strict requirements, including dedicated folders, version control, and audit trails, ensuring complete oversight and continuity. The project team could also generate reports and key figures instantly, creating both transparency and efficiency in a highly complex project.
The building’s environmental performance is groundbreaking: it reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 45 percent, decreases water consumption by 65 percent, and achieves a waste sorting rate of over 98 percent. Its energy use is only 78 kWh/m² per year, significantly lower than the average for commercial buildings in the Nordic region. In 2025, the project was honored with the prestigious BREEAM Award for new construction, demonstrating how Tribia’s digital solutions can enable the creation of buildings that achieve world-class sustainability standards, even under Arctic conditions.
